Returns & Cancellations

Because all Dream Mailboxes are custom-built and made to order, our return policy varies depending on the stage of your order.


 

Order Cancellation

Before Mockup Approval

Orders may be canceled at any time before the mailbox mockup has been approved, as production does not begin until mockup approval is received.

If an order is canceled prior to mockup approval, a refund will be issued to the original payment method minus the payment processing fee (3%) charged by the card networks and payment provider. These fees are non-refundable to us once the transaction has been processed.


 

After Mockup Approval

Once your mockup has been approved, production begins and materials are allocated.

Orders may no longer be canceled for a full refund after this point. However, return eligibility may still apply under the conditions outlined below.


 

Returns

We accept returns on both defective and non-defective items within 30 days of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

  • Item must be unused and in original condition

  • Item must be returned in original packaging

  • Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs

  • A restocking fee of up to 25% may apply to all non-defective returns

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

Because our products are custom-built, returns may be limited depending on the level of customization.


 

Custom & Personalized Orders

Items that include custom sizing, personalized elements (such as address numbers), or special finishes may not be eligible for return unless defective.

If a return is approved, additional restocking or modification fees may apply.


 

Damages & Defects

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Photos will be required.

We will repair, replace, or provide a resolution at no additional cost for confirmed defects or damage.


 

Exchanges

Exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you would like a different style or configuration, please contact us and we will assist with available options.

  • Transit time is typically 1–5 business days after production

  • Production timelines vary by product type


 

USPS & Local Regulations

Customers are responsible for confirming mailbox compliance with local USPS and HOA requirements prior to ordering. Dream Mailboxes is not responsible for regulatory conflicts.
